Up All Night

Saxophonist Buddy Jay Kieffer leads a mighty band through an exploration of 1960’s Jamaican style jazz music and beyond. The band blends elements of Latin Jazz, dub, calypso, Kompa, spiritual jazz, and afrobeat, with ska and reggae. Original compositions inspired by American jazz and its influence on music created in Jamaica and in the West Indies.

“Up All Night” is the troop’s sophomore release and features a large variety of musical styles ranging from instrumental reggae, to straight ahead ska, to calypso, and even Haitian style Kompa! All original compositions, no cover tunes, and no additives or preservatives. Get up and groove! Tracked mostly in 2019 and 2020, and released in 2021.
