Description

"Two heavy funk cuts pulled straight from Millie Jackson’s It Hurts So Good sessions (Spring, 1973), issued on 45 for the very first time.

Side A brings “Now That You Got It”. Millie in full early-’70s fire, tight groove and attitude to spare. Flip it over for “Hypocrisy (Alternate Version)”, making its first appearance on vinyl. A gritty, soulful variation on the LP classic, cut with the unmistakable Spring Records edge.

Essential early Millie: raw, funky, and made for the turntable."
