The first single by The Originals stems from an initial idea by Pat Cosmo, which The Bluebeaters plan to include in the band's next album for next year. In fact, they had thought of having Africa Unite as guests, so the first draft of the recording was passed on to Madaski at his Dub Demon Studio in Pinerolo. This step instantly marked the new track as the first single by The Originals, of course. All 10 musicians put their hands and instruments to work and rearranged the song sung by Pat Cosmo and Bunna.
The lyrics “imagine the vision and feelings of those forced to flee poverty and war, to migrate by their own means to a different, perhaps less unjust world. You imagine it to be welcoming, but it turns out to be rather distrustful and reluctant to include them”, as Pat Cosmo says.
'It is also an attempt to describe the world around us, now prey to conflicts and wars, to which we say a resounding "No!
No to inhumanity, no to rearmament, no to government propaganda, highlighted above all by the reckless use of social networks. All this leaves us isolated, abandoned to ourselves and to a destiny in which we are beginning to see no future as we had imagined it'.
