Eden's Island (The Music Of An Enchanted Isle)

´I look crazy, but I´m not. And the funny thing is, other people don´t look crazy, but they are.´ Born George Alexander Aberle in 1908 and later adopted and raised under the name George McGrew, eden ahbez is considered a forerunner of the hippie generation. Ahbez, who writes his name in lowercase, claiming that only the words God and Infinity were worth capitalizing, approached Nat King Cole in 1947 and offered him his composition ´Nature Boy´. The song was a huge hit for Cole and was also covered by many artists. Ahbez would provide Cole with more material, but he also recorded the incredible album You Hold Your Hands in 1960. The missinglink between beatnik poetry and exotic sounds, Eden´s Island didn´t sell well in its day, but has since become a hit. A highly sought after piece among collectors and a source of inspiration among musicians, this is your chance to understand why!
