Here comes Pama International's 11th studio album, and the follow up to their critically acclaim 'Love & Austerity' **** Mojo album.
The album draws on the bands songwriter/founder Sean Flowerdew’s love of Northern, British and Southern Soul and stars a killer line up of musicians and vocalists.
Flowerdew started work on this record in 2009! 10 years on and this community building "authentic simplicity album is nearly here.
From Muscle Shoals to the Tyne it boasts influences of Al Green, Duane Allman, Aretha, Betty Swann, Joe Cocker, Otis, Janis and Booker T & The MGs, but in true Pama Int’l fashion the album sounds uniquely them.
Since their formation in 2001 Pama Int’l have released 10 studio albums and recorded 4 BBC Radio One Maida Vale sessions. In 2006 they became the first new band to sign to Trojan Records in 30 years. The collective nature of the band has seen them work with; Billy Bragg, Ken Boothe, Rico, Derrick Morgan, Dawn Penn, Dave & Ansel Collins, Dennis Alcapone, Wrongtom and Mad Professor, whilst their line up has attracted members from The Specials, Madness, Galliano, Steel Pulse, The Upsetters and the Style Council.
