Born To Skank

'Born to Skank' is the title of Mister Leu & The Nyabinghers' second album, following their 2019 debut with 'Born To Reggae'.

'Born to Skank' features nine original tracks written, composed, and performed by Mister Leu & The Nyabinghers, as well as one cover.

This album is dedicated to the ska music that was heard at Jamaican dances in the 1960s. It was recorded in several sessions in the Pyrénées Orientales region during 2023 at Record It, Les Fauteuils Rouge, and La Casa Musicale studios by Chromatic Records. Twelve artists were brought together on this album, influenced by groups such as The Skatalites, New York Ska Jazz, Jazz Jamaïca, Toots & the Maytals and Laurel Aitken.
