The short list included the Brown Brothers Transcription Service, the Castle Studio, the Methodist Television and Radio Film Commission, and Owen Bradley's Quonset hut on 16th Avenue South. When RCA-Victor opened their own facility in the fall of 1957, Nashville joined the likes of New York, Los Angeles and Chicago as a force to be reckoned with.
