But the Rooster-members are not nearly unknown in the 60s-Garage-scene - three of them are members of the incredible IMPERIAL SURFERS and bring the same kind of fun ambience to the ROYAL ROOSTERS with their fantastic rhythmic guitar, the cool bass, the wild saxophone and their great energy that immediately drags any listener along in a fabulous mood! As he played with the SMOOTH BEANS before, singer Rudy King brings the Rocksteady & Soul influence to the band, and the drummer is also a member of the Garage-band SCREAMING WITCHDOCTORS - this mixture of talented musicians with their different backgrounds proves to be quite explosive!

THE ROYAL ROOSTERS' very first 7' out on SOUNDFLAT RECORDS is really something else - the A-side 'I Can't Breathe' is a mind-blowing uptempo R&Bsong, that has a moody soul-touch to it, yet at the same time gets you dancing along to immediately. The B-side 'Rockin' Chair' is a brilliant instrumental piece with a melodic guitar, distinctive saxophone and a touch of Rocksteadyinfluence in it. Altogether, this is an outstanding piece of vinyl, that will captivate you and conjure a party-mood wherever you play it!
