In The Mood For Ska / Inspiration

A cover of Frances Langford's hit song ``I'm In The Mood For Love,'' which was sung in the movie ``Every Night At Eight,'' and which has since become a standard in many versions. This take, which was not very successful in Jamaica, was loved by British soundmen and is now a popular ska anthem and Tanamo's signature song. The Jamaican version was pressed in small quantities by Down Beat, and the British Ska Beat version is in circulation, but it is also rare. The combination of Tanamo and Skatalites is wonderful. The coupling is a bright, simple melody sung by the mysterious one-hit wonder Orville Alfonso, and nice ska vocals supported by a vigorous rhythm.
