King Of The Jungle
London-based musician and composer Arthur Kay has an impressive musical history that runs through numerous bands and genres. Besides Oi! bands like The Last Resort and The Warriors, he was also active with ska bands like Arthur Kay & The Originators and Arthur Kay & The Originals. For the last twenty-five years, he has also been active as an acoustic solo artist.
For several years, he has also performed regularly with German ska band The Clerks. About ten years back, this collaboration led to a full album and two years ago Arthur Kay & The Clerks re-recorded the old Last Resort classic 'King Of The Jungle'. As guest vocalist, Last Resort singer Roi Pearce was invited. Initially, the song appeared only on an 3-CD box to mark the 10th anniversary of the Freedom Sounds festival, but now the song finally appears on vinyl with an unreleased dub mix by the Dubcreator at the flipside.
